My name is Jessica Brink. This is my 5th year at H.F. Stevens Middle School, however I have been in the classroom for almost 15 years. I have always wanted to be a teacher and feel that the "extra" helping of goofy I recieved at birth has focused my nitche in middle school. I have been married for 20 years to my best friend who is also a teacher. We have two amazing daughters; one in the United States Marines and the other is on a military scholarship and will graduate as an officer in the USMC....Hoorah! I was born and raised in southern California and have lived in Texas for 6 years. We truely love it here in TX...as the saying goes...I wasn't born here, but got here as fast as I could.
Though I am slightly goofy, I have high expectations for all of my students. I believe that the classroom should be a safe, inviting and supportive environments fit for learning and growth. In addition, learning should be engaging and fun...though we do have a LOT of work to do, and must have rules and procedures to be safe and stay on track.
